Katie Orr

Katie Orr came to Capital Public Radio from KPBS in San Diego, where she covered City Hall for four years. She has also worked at public radio stations in Indiana and Ohio. Her work has been heard on NPR and on The California Report. She has been recognized by several chapters of the Society for Professional Journalists for her work. She is a graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University. In 2013, Katie earned her Masters in Political Science from San Diego State University.

Judy Lin

CALmatters

Board Member

Judy Lin is a reporter with CALmatters covering education and state finance. She joined CALmatters from the Associated Press, where she worked for eight years covering California state policy issues, including finance, pensions and health care. Judy also has worked for The Sacramento Bee and The Detroit News, and has been recognized for her reporting with honors from the Association of Capitol Reporters and Editors and the Society of Professional Journalists, among others. A graduate of the University of Southern California, Judy is a longtime active member of the Asian American Journalists Association.

Laura Mahoney

Laura Mahoney is the Sacramento staff correspondent for Bloomberg BNA, a legal and regulatory news service based in Washington D.C. She started with BNA in 1989 as a reporter in Washington, D.C., and spent two years in Los Angeles before coming to Sacramento in 1993. Mahoney covers the Legislature, courts, and state and federal governments for Bloomberg BNA’s daily and weekly publications.

Dale is the publisher of several business to business newsletters which are the leaders in their respective fields. Starting in Denver in 1968 Debber’s career has spanned broadcast, print, and internet media.
